Maximum ImpactHorse Information
Registered Number: 1524
Nickname: Max
Age: Two (Y12)
Breed: Thoroughbred
Colour & Markings: Bay
Height: 16.3 hands
Gender: Colt
Personality: There are not many colts out in the world like Max. His beautiful presence makes him a fairly unique specimen and his size certainly puts him in a category of his own. However, it is his sheer personality that knocks him out of the ball park. Maximum Impact is the quirkiest colt out on the track, the most domineering, and the most exciting to watch. He has to be excused from the paddock and post parade operations due to his overwhelming personality. He is easily excitable and is constantly seen flicking his tail, tossing his head and prancing in place. More show pony than racehorse when not on the track, Max thrives on getting negative energy out of people and horses. He is grumpy, irritable and the saying "misery loves company" fits him to a "T". There are few colts that can draw the most negative mood out of people like Max can. He is spiteful. He bites and rears, kicks, charges. He is nearly beyond control on the ground and despite all of the ground manners that have been pounded into his head, the colt just cannot seem to grasp them, or rather just doesn't care. He has to be lead with a chain and was once known to have bitten a person's index finger to the point of surgery as a weanling. Max's domineering attitude knows no bounds and he is constantly trying to test his limits. He is often referred to as the Old Man around the barn for his grumpy nature. The flashy colt spent his young life at Witch Creek, but he was sold to Valkyrie - who knows, maybe his personality was part of he problem. However, he does have something special. And that something is his natural talent. Most horses have to be eased into running, have to be taught that the goal is to break herd dynamic and run past all of the others. Max understood the goal of racing from the get-go. He might have a horrible attitude, but he seems to love the moment when he can pass everyone else and charge away for the win. Hopefully it will be enough to make up for his poor attitude. His class on the track does not quite carry over to the winner's circle. The picture often comes out blurry and the humans have to dance around the fractious horse. Maximum Impact's willingness to cooperate is a trait that is short lived and fortunately, it comes when it counts the most: at the wire.
Pedigree: Created x Created
Racing Information
Race Record: 3-1-0-1
Consistency: 50%
Dirt: Great
Turf: Great
Distance: 9-12
Leg Type: Closer
Racing Style: He breaks a few steps slowly, allowing his legs time to stretch and for control to return to him. He gets a little frazzled when gated. The moment he breaks into running stride, he settles down two lengths behind the last horse and gathers himself. He will stay at the back of the pack until just before the far turn and then begins to pick horses off one by one. His speed increases with every stride and he becomes a sight to behold as he runs everyone down. He'll usually win by a half-length or so, giving his rider and connections a heart attack. However, he does impressive things and in the gallop out he is often lengths ahead of the rest of the field.
