FlashpointHorse Information
Registered Number: 1262
Nickname: Moose
Age: Three (Y11)
Breed: Thoroughbred
Colour & Markings: Dark Bay
Height: 16.1 hands
Gender: Colt
Personality: Flashpoint has the personality of an utter prince. He does not come from the best of pedigrees, but he could care less. He walks on his tiptoes all over the place, flashing his arrogant gaze upon his kingdom. He is kind of pompous, in a way. He acts as if all of the gifts and affection in the world should be doused all over him. He is the first at the gate for treats and the first banging around for food. He is a cuddle bug, though this leads to him crowding the humans sometimes. Moose is all over the outriders, their horses and the gate workers looking for a little love. He is a solid horse, not very big, but built quite nicely. He has nice long legs that cover the ground and a kind disposition. He is a determined sucker. He does not like to be ignored, practically demands attention, though he isn't destructive or incredibly obnoxious about it. He'll stare at you with bubbly eyes and cute little pricked ears, licking his lips. It's an irresistible sight to many of the grooms, and he's one of the few horses at Valkyrie that will tolerate a hug - not just tolerate really, but seem to like it. Kindness runs in the family and so, it appears, does intensity. The colt is an absolute machine when it comes to galloping. Moose prefers the explosive movement of sprinting, unlike some of his family. Moose is on the game every single workout, every single race and every single ground session. He just has the persona of a true workhorse. Part of it comes from his pleasing, willing nature and the other part comes from his willingness to exert his prowess over a group of horses. He loves the lime light, prances like a show pony when the spotlight shines on him and as soon as the camera moves, he settles back into his overbearing nature. He almost senses when he is being watched, and the crowds and visitors to the farm love it.
Pedigree: Flash Limits x Flash At Dawn
Pedigree Comments: Flashpoint's grandsire, Beyond The Limits, was a grade one racehorse during his time with nineteen victories. He was a powerful dirt horse and passed his ability to cover the dirt into his son Flash Limits. Flash Limits was only a grade five racehorse during his time, but he has the ability to throw out spectacular looking foals. Most of those foals are in the same year as Flashpoint and will look to set a standard for this young sire. While Flash Limits is relatively new to the breeding scene, Flash At Dawn is not. Flash at Dawn was a stunning show mare during her time, but her conformation and breeding were thought to be useful in the racing industry. She has produced Fiery Touch, a grad one winner, and Sizzling Dawn, a grade three winner. Fiery Touch finished second in two legs of the Triple Tiara, won the Novizio Derby, Risorgimento Derby and the Winter Cup Grade Three Dirt. Sizzling Dawn, a daughter of Barely A Moment, won the Magic Millions Fillies Dirt in her Juvenile season and tackled the boys in the Preakness Stakes coming out with a victory.
Racing Information
Grade: Three
Prospect Record: 1-0-0-0
Race Record: 18-7-3-7
Consistency: 94%
Dirt: Great
Turf: Good
Distance: 6-9
Leg Type: Stalker
Racing Style: He stalks the others, a true showman, with his ears pricked on the leaders at all times. He has an almost ironic, "Please let me help you with your coat," nature, fooling the others into thinking that they've gotten the best of him. The second they surge by him or the moment the final turn arrives, Moose immediately tackles the passersby. He'll storm them, eyeing them up or closing in on them so that they bounce off of his shoulder. The son of Flash Limits is tough as nails. With muscles rock solid the others merely bounce off of him as if instead he had pushed them. When they lose momentum, Moose will flash to the lead and keep right on going, knowing that all eyes and expectations are on him.
