Bowen ArrowHorse Information
Registered Number: 1556
Nickname: Bow
Age: Four (Y10)
Breed: Thoroughbred
Colour & Markings: Dark Bay | Star
Height: 17 hands
Gender: Colt
Personality: Bow is a colt through-and-through. As with any Thoroughbred, he can be a bit unpredictable, spooking at loud noises and getting worked up by new things. However, he does try to please his humans, and he's almost hyper-aware of personal space - he never crowds on purpose, never steps on a toe if he can help it. The only time he's likely to injure anyone is if he's scared and reacting. His care around humans even outweighed his preferred behavior around other horses - he's a dominant sort, and takes no sass from other horses. He doesn't aggressively go after them if they're leaving him alone, but if they start something he's not likely to back down. He's also very protective over his people - he can get jealous if he sees them with other horses. He gets pretty vocal, especially if he's inside and others are being taken out - he doesn't like to be alone. Horse or human, as long as there's someone there, he doesn't get anxious. If he is left alone, he paces, calls, and overall just gets himself worked up. This is part of the reason he's a mid-pack horse - he loves being with others, but has an extreme dominant streak, so easily runs for the lead when asked.

Racing Information
Grade: Four
Race Record: 13-6-2-2
Consistency: 77%
Dirt: Okay
Turf: Great
Distance: 7-10
Leg Type: Mid Pack
Racing Style: Bow breaks well from the gate, but not necessarily fast. He settles easily mid-pack, a few back from the leaders, but still in sight of them. He doesn't necessarily hate being on the rail or otherwise, as long as he can see the leaders. Generally this swings him toward the outside, so his jockeys try for that position from the beginning, especially in big fields. Bow is pretty willing to follow his jockey's cues, but he can get aggressive if he's pushed, shoved, or otherwise looked at the wrong way by the other horses. When asked to run for the lead, he does so without hesitation, dominant drive causing him to not back down, not even for a moment. He enjoys winning by a length or more, and never slows down once he's in front - a reason he'd be an awful frontrunner.
